Give your musical career a jumpstart. Join the Soundeon community of artists, connect with fans who believe in your music, and start making a name for yourself.
Soundeon helps musical artists raise money for studio time, music distribution, promotion, or anything else they need financial help with, using Crowdproducing mechanism. As the name suggests, Crowdproducing is based on the concept of “crowdfunding”, in which multiple fans contribute capital to the same project or business to help it come to life, usually expecting a return on their "investment" in the future.
Crowdproducing uses a similar concept to crowdfunding, but instead of investors who may only be interested in a financial gain, we connect our artists with “fans”. As a fan, you’ll get to support the artists that you see as future chart-toppers. Your return will be a partial ownership of the project, which will grant you continuous royalty payments; you’ll even receive a nice, shiny certificate. Haven’t you ever wanted to co-produce a song or album? This is your chance!
“Fans” help musical artists fund anything that they’re struggling to afford on their own, such as music production or distribution. In return, the fans receive a percentage of any and all future earnings as royalty payments due to their partial ownership of the resulting song or album. The artists submit their original music in order to build a fanbase of passionate fans.
As a fan, unfortunately you cannot insist on “removing the auto-tune” or “adding a killer guitar solo”. However, the money you contribute to an artist will help them realize their creative vision, and you’ll also be compensated in return. So it’s still a major win-win.
Royalties are payments that are awarded to musicians (rights-holders) whenever their copyrighted songs are performed, recorded, played, or streamed in public. As a stakeholder in a copyrighted piece of music, you become a partial rights-holder and receive a portion of royalties alongside the artist. This is similar to how professional music producers receive “points” (royalty payment percentages) when they engineer a record for an artist.
Don’t think of it as just a financial contribution. This is your chance as a fan to actually help an artist see their artistic vision come to life. If you find an artist that you think deserves recognition and support, you can help them rise to the top. Maybe you’re into a more avant-garde genre of music, like heavy metal polka. With Crowdproducing, you could help grace the rest of the world with the sweet sound of amplified accordions.
Here’s your chance to be a talent scout. Suggest an artist that you know has potential.
